Timely Student Created Film on Testing

Take a look at this excellent 7 minute film created by Sam Rubin, a high school student, and playing at film festivals around the country. With STAR testing upon us in California, it is especially timely. In at least one local school district, administrators have communicated that students' test scores will be reported on their transcripts, teachers are aware of those who opt out of the tests and some teachers are awarding extra credit for all questions answered correctly.

Sam Rubin, attends Venture High School, a school mentioned in "Race to Nowhere". The founding principal, Joan Diamond, believes the model is one that would be easy to incorporate as a school within a school in every community.
