to acquire a license for your institution or public screening. We review all purchases to confirm correct licensing.

The “Race to Nowhere” Home DVD is not licensed for showings at schools, institutions, communities or public events.

If you are a school, university, institution or nonprofit, the required Site License is included with the purchase of the Educational Tool Kit & DVD. The Site License allows ONE school or institution an unlimited number of screenings at ONE site for non-paying audiences who are members of your community. The License does not allow for inter-library or inter-district sharing and loans. Each School or Institution must purchase its own SITE LICENSE and EDUCATIONAL TOOL KIT AND DVD.

Special permission is required if your school or institution would like to host a public screening or charge admission or accept donations to your event. We also offer the option to partner with our team in hosting a fundraiser for your school which allows you to raise valuable funds and acquire the Educational Tool Kit and DVD at no initial cost, Get started by completing this form and we’ll be in touch to discuss next steps.

For these purposes, the Educational Tool Kit, DVD and Site License is required or a in the case of a public screening, you must acquire from our office a License for Public Performance Rights.

The Home DVD may also be used  in your own private class or seminar only for "face-to-face teaching purposes" (as US copyright law officially dubs it). “Face-to-face teaching purposes” means that the DVD and students are in the same room to view the film. The film may not be streamed or digitized.

Question: How is pricing determined?

Answer: Our prices are based on industry standard rates. Our goal is to make the film accessible to all types of institutions and at the same time generate revenues to support our work as independent filmmakers and education advocates.
