New York Magazine Examines Cheating Culture

NY Magazine examines why students cheat. With more students cheating than ever before, what do you think has changed about high school that has led to this disturbing trend?

A teacher from Stuyvesant offered "I hope this will be a chance for self-­examination, of what high school should be and why we’re all here. Less homework, a decreased focus on testing, curbs on competition have all been raised as possible reforms." When the story at Stuyvesant broke over the summer, our director, Vicki Abeles, wrote this letter to the NY Times

It's interesting to note that according to the latest research in neuroscience, sociology and psychology, we are all wired to deceive. This science is being applied to rearranging institutions. How might we apply the science to the academic setting?
